The Franchise: A Season With the Miami Marlins
Season two of THE FRANCHISE: A SEASON WITH THE MIAMI MARLINS will continue this Wednesday, July 18 on SHOWTIME (10 p.m. ET/PT) with episode two.
In this week's episode, Marlins All-Star slugger Giancarlo Stanton undergoes arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and the MLB Productions cameras are there to document the procedure. In addition, Logan Morrison heads back to his hometown of Kansas City for the All-Star break in search of his boyhood hero, George Brett, and viewers will meet Justin Ruggiano, a 30-year-old outfielder who the Marlins acquired in late May to fill the void left by Emilio Bonifacio, who was sidelined with a thumb injury. Ruggiano discusses the challenges of his career spent mostly in the minor leagues and his plan to make the most of his opportunity in the big leagues.
